REP Fitness Guide: Racks, Benches, Plates, and Warranty Terms
REP Fitness is a Colorado company that makes home and commercial strength equipment: modular power racks, adjustable benches, barbells, plates, functional trainers, and a smaller cardio line. It pitches a large attachment system as its main selling point. As of Nov 2026, its racks list from about $380 to about $1,100 before options. Frames carry a lifetime warranty for the original buyer, while pads get only 30 days. For rack basics that apply to any brand, start with our power rack system guide.
What REP Fitness makes
Its history page says the McGrotty brothers started the company in Longmont, Colorado, in 2012, and that its engineers still work from Colorado. The rack pages we read don’t state a country of manufacture.
Racks and rigs
Tube size splits the range. The PR-1100 and Altitude use 2 x 2 inch, 14-gauge steel with a 700 lb listing, and the rest use 3 x 3 inch, 11-gauge steel at 1,000 lb. Pre-selected rigs, 6 feet deep and 108 inches tall, cover larger spaces.
| Model | Price | Uprights and holes | Listed load | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| REP Fitness PR-1100 | $380 | 2 x 2 in., 14-gauge, 1 in. holes | 700 lb | 3 in. spacing. Cannot be bolted down. |
| REP Fitness PR-4000 (Pre-Selected) | $800 | 3 x 3 in., 11-gauge, 5/8 in. holes | 1,000 lb | 1 in. spacing in the bench zone, 2 in. elsewhere. |
| REP Fitness Altitude Power Rack | $900 | 2 x 2 in., 14-gauge, 6-post | 700 lb | Own attachment line. Includes j-cups, pull-up bar, and safeties. |
| REP Fitness PR-5000 (Pre-Selected) | $920 | 3 x 3 in., 11-gauge, 1 in. holes | 1,000 lb | 16 to 41 in. depth, 80 or 93 in. tall. |
| REP Fitness Apollo Half Rack Builder | $920 | Half rack, 3 x 3 in., 1 in. holes, flat foot | 1,000 lb | No bolting. No Ares, Athena, or Belt Squat. |

The series decides what you can add later, so our REP Fitness attachments guide maps what fits which rack. There’s also the PR-4100, which folds to the wall and starts around $500.
Benches
The range runs from about $150 for the FB-3000 flat bench to about $600 for the BlackWing, with 700 or 1,000 lb listings on the models we checked. Our adjustable bench guide compares pad gaps and angles.
Cable machines and functional trainers
Some attach to a rack, and others stand alone. Check usable resistance as well as stack weight, because a 2:1 ratio halves what you feel. Arcadia’s 170 lb stacks work out to 85 lb per side.
| Model | Price | Size L x W x H (in) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| REP Fitness Athena Selectorized (one side) | $950 | - | 170 lb stack at 2:1. Needs a compatible PR-4000 or PR-5000. |
| REP Fitness Ares 2.0 Cable Attachment | $3,000 | - | Two 260 lb stacks at 2:1. Adds lat pulldown and low row. |
| REP Fitness Arcadia Functional Trainer | $2,200 | 35.8 x 55.3 x 80.8 | Two 170 lb stacks at 2:1, so 85 lb usable per side. Rear width 24 in. |
| REP Fitness Arcadia Max Functional Trainer | $2,700 | 44 x 75.5 x 87.6 | Two 220 lb stacks at 2:1. |
| REP Fitness Summit All-In-One Trainer with Athena | $4,445 | 57.5 x 73.54 x 94.19 | 4-post half rack with Smith and side-mount cables. Tallest all-in-one here. |

The dumbbell range includes the QuickDraw, covered in our adjustable dumbbell guide. Kettlebells are listed too.
Cardio and accessories
The Strive Air Bike lists a 350 lb user limit at about $1,300. The Strive Curved Treadmill lists 400 lb at about $3,800, weighs 418 lb, and needs a 96 inch ceiling. Both carry 5 years on the frame and 2 years on moving parts. The catalog also covers flooring, sleds, bands, belts, and apparel, plus other makers’ gear such as Concept2.
REP Fitness warranty terms
The warranty page sets these periods.
| Item | Period |
|---|---|
| Rack and functional trainer frames, structural welds | Lifetime |
| Bench frames | 10 years |
| Pop-pins, pulleys, bearings, cables | 1 year |
| Upholstery | 30 days |
| Dumbbells | Lifetime at home, 1 year commercial |
| Competition bumpers | 5 years |
Lifetime means the limited terms below.
- Lifetime has limits. It covers defects, ends if the product becomes unusable for other reasons, and applies only to the original purchaser.
- Hard drops can void it. Examples include dropping a loaded bar on spotter arms or pins, or repeatedly dropping iron plates.
- Other brands’ parts are a risk. Using them can void coverage.
- Location counts. The policy excludes products that leave the lower 48 states.
The page splits home and commercial terms for dumbbells, bands, and some plates but not for rack frames, so gym owners should get written terms. On returns, you get 30 days from receipt, need the original packaging, and pay a return shipping fee.

On those terms, REP Fitness beats Titan on frame coverage and Bells of Steel on moving parts, trails Force USA on moving parts, and has the shortest pad coverage. Compare prices with care: the PR-4000 package lists j-cups, pin-pipes, and a pull-up bar, while Force USA sells MyRack’s attachments separately.
REP Fitness cites a 2022 Garage Gym Experiment poll that had it at 41.1%, ahead of Rogue at 36.4%. We only read the brand’s own summary, and a preference poll says nothing about durability.

Safety
- Check the recall if you buy used. In 2021, the CPSC announced a recall of about 1,940 PR-4000 and PR-5000 strap safety brackets (SKUs PRA-4120 and PRA-5122), sold from April through December 2020. Improperly welded brackets could detach under a sudden drop. There were three breakage reports and no reported injuries, and the remedy was free replacement brackets.
- Follow the bolt-down rules. The PR-5000 page requires bolts on most setups, and the PR-1100 can’t be bolted at all.
- Talk to a clinician if needed. If you have a back, shoulder, or heart condition, check with a physician or physical therapist before heavy barbell work.
FAQ
Where is REP Fitness based?
Colorado. Its history page says brothers Ryan and Shane McGrotty started the company in Longmont in 2012. The rack pages we read don't say where the racks are made.
Does the REP Fitness warranty transfer to a used rack?
No. The lifetime terms apply only to the original purchaser, so a secondhand buyer should assume there's no coverage.
What is the difference between the PR-4000 and PR-5000?
Both use 3 x 3 inch, 11-gauge steel with a listed 1,000 lb capacity. The PR-4000 has 5/8 inch holes, spaced 1 inch through the bench zone and 2 inches elsewhere. The PR-5000 has 1 inch holes every 2 inches.
Is REP Fitness cheaper than Titan?
Not on the 3 x 3 inch racks here. The pre-selected PR-4000 lists around $800 and Titan's X-3 around $680. Inclusions differ, and REP Fitness lists a lifetime frame warranty against Titan's 1 year.
